“Southern Quality Propane Acquires Akins Propane”

Thomasville, GA, March 1, 2023 – Southern Quality Propane is proud to announce its acquisition of the propane division of Akins Petroleum. 

Based in Valdosta, GA, Akins serves clients throughout South Georgia and North Florida. “When we first started talking with owner Brooks Akins, we felt we shared the same commitment to customers that he had,” said Southern Quality Propane owner Laura Williams. “Brooks has built an incredible business on a foundation of excellence. I resonate with that.”

Southern Quality Propane will continue to provide service to Akins customers from the same Valdosta office and with the same team that customers have come to rely on. Akins Petroleum will remain in business focusing on gas, diesel, oil, and lubricants separately from the propane division.

Southern Quality Propane will continue to serve current and new customers with residential propane, agricultural propane, and commercial/industrial propane along with servicing customers on natural gas.
